I’m 13. I built the app my family runs the house on.

Every house I know runs on the same few questions, asked over and over. What’s for dinner? Who’s picking up whom, and when do we need to leave? Did anyone order the milk? Is Kumon today or tomorrow? In our house the answers lived in three WhatsApp groups, a notebook in the kitchen, my mum’s head, and the cook’s memory. When one of those was wrong, dinner was wrong.

MiCasa started as a page with our week’s menu on it, so I could stop asking. A few months on, it has a menu the cook reads in Hindi with a tap to hear it read aloud, a calendar where every place has a map link the driver can open, a grocery list with live prices from the quick-commerce apps so we know where a basket is cheaper, reminders that say who they’re for, a budget, and a scoreboard for the card games we play every night. Every morning it writes each person a short brief: what’s on, what to leave by, what to pack.

The part I’m proudest of is Sidekick. You talk to it, in Hindi or English, and it does the thing: adds the dentist appointment from the SMS you pasted, puts milk on the list, sends today’s schedule to the driver. Send it a flight booking as a PDF and it adds the flights.

We’ve been running our house on it since September 2026. A few other families are starting now. It’s free, and it’ll stay free; I’m opening it a few households at a time so I can fix what breaks. If you want in, the form is on the front page.
